Exam Format

NEBDN has come up with a new examination format since 2012. The new format consists of written/theory (Multiple Choice Questions and Extended Matching Questions) and practical section (Objective Structured Clinical Examination). Unlike the previous examination format, in the current format, there is no hassle of writing lengthy essay answers and fill up the blanks. You need to select an answer from a list of choices/answers relevant to a question and mark on the answer sheet with a pencil.

The new examination format enables you to score hundred percent marks for any given question if answered correctly. Similarly there will be no negative marks (no marks will be deducted from the marks you gained by answering correctly) if you answer any question wrong. On the other hand Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCEs) is the practical part of the examination which tests your clinical skills what you will be doing at your dental surgery during the training period for one year.
